Introduce of long wave infrared continuous zoom lens:

The infrared thermal imaging system belongs to passive detection and does not require active auxiliary lighting. Therefore, they are widely used in night vision navigation, attack warning, target reconnaissance and other fields. For targets with high-temperature radiation sources such as airplanes, their external thermal radiation is concentrated in the medium wave infrared band.


The medium wave infrared thermal imaging system has advantages in detecting and identifying such targets; Due to the low surface temperature of ground military targets such as buildings, their thermal radiation is concentrated in the long wave infrared band. Long wave infrared systems can suppress the adverse effects of sea surface flicker on target imaging.


Therefore, the LWIR system has more advantages in target detection under bad weather conditions such as low visibility and heavy fog, as well as target detection and recognition of Surface combatant.


Due to the diffraction effect, the diameter of the Airy disk of the optical system is proportional to the wavelength and the number of apertures. For long wave infrared thermal imaging systems, in order to improve their resolution, it is necessary to design optical systems with relatively large apertures. Therefore, studying optical systems with small F-number and large relative aperture is of great significance.


The infrared continuous zoom system is achieved by axial movement of the zoom group and compensation group. According to different compensation methods, it can be divided into two forms: optical compensation and mechanical compensation.
