Feature of Cooled Continuous Zoom LWIR Lens:
Infrared imaging technology is a new high-tech technology that is very much needed by all military branches. The infrared detection system has the characteristics of good environmental adaptability, good concealment, strong anti-interference ability, and can identify camouflage targets to a certain extent, and the equipment is small in size, light in weight, and low in power consumption. It is widely used in the military for infrared night vision, infrared reconnaissance and infrared guidance, etc.
Generally, infrared zoom imaging systems are divided into two types: continuous zoom and fixed-range zoom, and fixed-range zoom is mainly based on two-speed and three-speed zoom. The continuous zoom infrared optical system is used in the airborne electro-optical reconnaissance system, which can not only provide the pilot with the best situational awareness when cruising and searching, but also adjust to a small field of view to aim and track when a target is found. It is very beneficial to search and track high-speed moving targets to maintain image continuity during field of view switching. This system solves the problem of losing fast-moving targets during the time interval between two-speed and multi-speed lenses. A defect, therefore, is widely used in airborne optoelectronic reconnaissance equipment.
