Feature of Cooled Continuous Zoom LWIR Lens:

The infrared optical lens is designed for wavelengths between 3.7 and 4.8 micrometers. It has a focal length that can be adjusted between 30 and 300 millimeters, making it suitable for various imaging needs. The lens has a medium-wave cooled continuous zoom feature and an aperture of 4.0. It is coated with an anti-reflective outer layer for improved image quality. The lens can capture images from a distance of 1 meter to infinity and is compatible with 640x512 medium-wave cooled detectors. It is specifically designed to withstand a wide range of temperatures, from -40°C to +60°C, making it suitable for use in handheld devices. The lens has versatile applications due to its durability and adaptability to different environments.


There are two main types of infrared zoom imaging systems: continuous zoom and fixed zoom. Fixed zoom systems typically have two or three levels of zoom. Continuous zoom systems, on the other hand, are used in airborne photoelectric reconnaissance systems. These systems can fulfill the need for searching a wide area, as well as tracking or recognizing a smaller area. Additionally, continuous zoom systems allow for the continuous enlargement of targets during the zooming process.
