FAQ:
What Are DLC And AR Coating?
The DLC membrane is a carbon membrane that resembles a diamond. It contains sp3 bonds, which give it diamond-like properties. It is advantageous because it can be deposited at low temperatures and over large areas.
Among different hard membranes, the DLC membrane is known for its high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and low friction coefficient.
The AR membrane does not affect the lens's absorption rate. Instead, it increases the light transmission by reducing reflection on both sides of the lens, known as "reflection and antireflection."
Light is an electromagnetic wave. When the refractive index and thickness of the AR membrane are matched, the light undergoes multi-beam interference within the membrane. This results in destructive interference on the upper surface and constructive interference on the lower surface.
